I want the functionality of tapping on a product photo at checkout and to use the bigger display of an ipad. I have the terminal but it is cumbersome to find items.
Can I just use a ipad and contactless square reader to do my transactions without the stand, as I don't need a mag stripe reader anymore and my ipad uses usb-c. Also, if I get a usb cash drawer, usb receipt printer and usb bar code scanner, can I still hook everything up with the usb-c hub for the square terminal? Or do I go all bluetooth/wireless for those items?

Hi @SqrNat,
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
You most definitely can use the Contactless + Chip Card reader as an option. The iPad will definitely offer a larger display, and the reader will connect via bluetooth. Check it out here and let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi, How can I connect a money drawer , receipt printer, bar code scanner to the ipad? Do I have to get a bluetooth version of everything? Or do you know if the ipad supports a usb-c hub to connect all the devices?

Hi there, @SqrNat - I can step in for Alex, here!
You can connect a Cash Drawer, Barcode Scanner, and Receipt Printer to an iPad, but you will need to use a USB hub. This is the benefit of using the Square Stand, because the USB hub comes with the Stand when purchases.
While there are some compatible Bluetooth Printers for Square iPad usage, USB-run printers have proven to be much more reliable and cost-effective.
You can learn more about connecting peripherals with the USB hub here.
