Transfer Activity Reports not reporting correctly

Transfer activity reports are not showing the amount of taxes that were transferred. In the past (just three days ago) when I get a transfer report It would listed out the gross, net, taxes, and fees. Today it has just listed the total amount, fess that were deposited. and this will not match up to the daily reports because of cash or gift cards. All it says is the amounts in other transfer.  Is the report broken? Or is this a change to the report?

@Jshayes ;

I use the Transactions Details CSV to look at these numbers and to load them to my accounting Software.  The numbers your asking about are in the Transactions Report.  Not sure why Square changed this as I see the Taxes for Friday the 15th but the deposit that was done over the weekend is not showing this information.  The Deposit Report should never match up with the Transactions report because as you pointed out the CASH and Gift Cards.  Gift cards are reported when You sell the Gift card not when the customer uses the Gift card for the Deposits.  Cash is not shown on the Transfer report because Square is Not depositing or Transferring Cash to you.

The Transfer Report is that, what was Transferred from Square to your account.

The Transaction Reports show all the other information about each Transaction including which Transfer ID it is included with if it was a Credit Card Sale.   Cash sales do not have a Transfer ID in the Transactions Detail report.

So you may want to look at your Transactions Reports instead of your Transfer Report, to get these numbers.  Still not sure why it changed or if it is in error on Squares part.  Just trying to tell you that you can get the numbers your looking for from the Transactions Reports.

Here are some headers from the Transacation CSV file:

I do not like using the Reports pages for bookkeeping as I may miss something or miss enter the data, but use them for quick refrences.  The CSV files I like better as they have more data and details and can be used with Excel or Google Sheets to quickly chart and refrence the data.  I have been downloading each Years Transactions and Transactions Items CSV files since joing Square.  With doing this I can open my Excel Pivot Table and refrence any day since 2019 to the same day of the current year.  Or chart my sales and Fees over the cours of the years.  Square's Dashboard reports only let you see 1 Year at a time and can not compare years like I can by using the the csv files.  Just giving ideas to look at data over a longer time frame outside of Square.

@brookerobbins;

When I go to Square Dashboards Web page in Chrome, I tap Balance, then Tap my Business name, then All Transfers, Select a Date and I get the below Image which shows all the Data the Original Poster questioned.  What work around or other information are you looking for?  My last reply from 3-18-2024 showed how to download the same information to be able to import it to most accounting Systems.  I did Crop out the actual $ amounts that were shown just to the right in the image.

Its not always best to Delete a tread when the question is fixed but to state how it was fixed or just a Plain..  "Its fixed now" and mark it as the Best Answer.

I had an issue yesterday and I thought it was an Update, ended up a Power surge I guess overnight took out my Square Hub.  When I swapped out the 'Bad' hub everything worked fine.... So I posted that as my Fix and marked it the best Answer.
