Sold out notice

Our inventory control is very sporadic. We sell small stones and sometimes the clerk gets the wrong stone since black onyx, black tourmaline, shungite, black obsidian all look alike. So all of the sudden our inventory showed negative 28 for our garnets. 

 

Someone came up to purchase a garnet and our square register wouldn't let us sell it because it was showing a red notice that said "Sold Out." We never had this problem before. This must be a new feature that Square just surprisingly added. So we did an Inventory Recount to fix the number of garnets in our inventory, but the "Sold Out" is still showing even though our inventory of Garnets now says we have 110. Any ideas how we get that "Sold Out" to go away?

We are having the same problem on our Register. We only track inventory for a few items but one of the variations today is showing "Sold Out" in spite of the fact we have adjusted the inventory. I've double checked and we do NOT have the alert set on the Dashboard for that item. Fortunately, we can still add it to an order and the online store seems to be correct. It is just a bit misleading for our employees.
How can we force the Register to remove this warning? I have photos if that helps.

Hello @bertmck. When you log into your Square Online Dashboard, do you see the same thing? I did not see items in the Item Library with a lo stock warning sign, wondering if this is only showing on the Square Register. If so, please give our Customer Success Team a call to further troubleshoot on a register. They will be your best resource.

@sayra Thank you. We will give them a call. There nothing in the Dashboard that indicates we are low/out of that specific item. I have also verified today that this is still showing "out" in spite of their being sufficient inventory. The odd thing is that it appears to be only a single variation of the item at this point.

Gotcha! This is something that will be best to troubleshoot on an actual Square Stand. On this platform, I am unable to do that.

Thank You both for posting in our Seller Community! With regards to the "Sold Out," notification, there may be some adjustments to settings that may need to be made on the back-end depending on whether the Square Online store is utilized in conjunction with  the Square Point of Sale Retail app of not.
