Selling TIMED TICKETS via Square, redeemable for food, instead of Food By The Pound?
We have a seafood store and we have been using Square as a front end for retail sales, mostly selling in the shop with some delivery. We sell seafood, mostly by the pound, so Square has been used to sell Seafood by the pound, thus far.
ACTION >> I want to sell timed tickets, limited supply, to be redeemed for prepared foods. Anyone done this via Square? Anyone have advice?
BACKGROUND >> This weekend we are taking a first plunge into prepared foods, selling lobster rolls. We want to take baby steps to try out our kitchen. Get some buzz, generate some street traffic, build a feeling of exclusivity.
We will be selling the lobster rolls via window onto the street. We'd like to create some buzz, selling a limited supply, at a steal deal. Tickets made sense, but I have always done them via Eventbrite or Salesforce.
Anyone have thoughts about doing TIMED TICKETS via Square? six per hour, good for two Lobster Rolls each? Square is the platform the store is on anyway.

Hello @BenAustin your lobster rolls sound yummy! I haven't done anything with a timed ticket, but maybe try Square Appointments where your customers can "book" a timeslot to come pick up? Not sure if they can pay in the Appointment program or window, they may need to just reserve a pickup time, and then you'd have to check them out with Square once they come to the pickup window?
Maybe some other sellers in the Restaurant group have a better suggestion here...
