Just received an email for a “dispute” of over $913, that will be devoted from our account.

Just received an email stating that our account would be debited over $913 for a “dispute”.  I feel it is a scam. Just be aware

Hi @Pasteria,

 

Was the email from a Square domain or were they just claiming to be Square? You can also confirm or check to see if there is actually a dispute in your Square POS app or dashboard.

@Pasteria thanks for posting. @mjws1224 is correct, you can confirm if there is a dispute on one of your payments by checking your Square Dashboard or your POS app. 

 

Also, please check the "from" email address for this email. If it's not from a Square email, then it's not from us. If you have any questions, please send a screenshot of the email (please blur out any sensitive information) and we can confirm if it's from us or not.
