Is there a way to add a pop-up donation button at check out on the Square tablet?

Just wanted to see if there is a way to add a pop up button to ask for a donation at check out? We have a non profit animal sanctuary on site at our profit biz and it would be awesome to ask customers to donate to our non profit.

At this time it's not possible to set up a donation button that would appear at check out from the square Point of Sale app. You could create an item and name it Donation, which can be added o any sale.

It is possible to create a popup for a Square Online site and have it show only on a specific page of the checkout process. To do that, follow these steps:

1. Go to Website > Popups and create a popup that has a button which links to your donation item.

2. After configuring the popup, copy the code shown at the bottom of the popup settings.

3. Go to Settings > General, then edit the tracking section and paste the code into the Payment Page field.

4. Save, and the popup should then show on the page the customer sees when entering information.

Note that if you want the popup to show on all of the pages of your site or other regular pages, you don't need to use the embed code option and can configure the popup to specific show on those pages.

Has there been any progress on this? We have the square register and would like have a question at check out if the customer would like to mke a donation?

Thanks for checking in, @PcklBrl. We don't currently have a donation option for the Point of Sale, and it doesn't look like it's currently in the works. You could consider setting up tipping if you're looking for a way for customers to show their gratuity for the service at your business, or set a QR code for customers to scan and donate online if you're collecting donations for a cause. Create a Discount for 100% off call it Donations.

Then when you make a sale enter the Organization as the Customer to the sale.

Ring the sale up as normal, then press the Green Discounts and select Donation 100%

This will track all your Donations and track who it was paid to.

A donation button needs to be created for the square register.  I have people asking to donate and Would lover to keep it separate from my sales.
