Inventory count is super random

Have dug in via support a few times, but curious if I am going crazy or if anyone else has had a similar experience. Can't get a solid hand on inventory count - items are widely and constantly off on multiple items.

We are a small cigar shop, with close to 200 items - majority are sku/scan, but some are manual entry. Very common that when you go to add stock, you are off mid to high single digits generally to the negative, occasionally to the positive. Can't completely rule out theft, but very unlikely, and about impossible at those levels, as customers are accompanied into the humidor. Manager or myself are generally at the register, and both are fairly tedious about the process.

Occasionally some lag or glitch jumping from scan to manual entry, couldn't rule out an occasional miss when hustling through an order there - but the levels we're seeing just don't compute with the reality of the day-to-day, and we don't generally find information on the stock history digs that yield insight.

Anyone else had a similar issue or culprit?

That's super strange - we do everything manually, and haven't had any issues like that.

Do you use any Third Party Integrations?

We used to use Shopventory and had some glitches there.
