Inconsistencies with Pickup/Delivery for Weebly Online Store

We are a non-profit food organization that set up an online store as a support system for local food businesses during the COVID-19 crisis. We recently upgraded to the new Weebly platform and are offering both pickup and delivery. 

 

There are some confusing aspects to the user experience. At customer checkout, "pickup" is the default, and there is a small hyperlinked text to click on to change to Delivery (see screenshot). This is NOT intuitive and has led to multiple customers selecting pickup and putting their delivery info in the comments, or thinking we no longer offer delivery, which we do. #1 Screen Shot 2020-04-28 at 11.34.56 AM.png#2 Screen Shot 2020-04-28 at 11.35.07 AM.png

 

When customers receive confirmation emails, they get a pickup time for deliveries, which is confusing, and inaccurate. Whereas when they DO order pickup their pickup time is not included in the email. The name of our organization also appears above their address when they order delivery, rather than their name. 

 

Overall, we're worried about confusing customers and losing sales during a critical time. If the delivery settings could become the default that would solve the most important issue.

After testing this on my end, I understand how these feature would be helpful. At this time the only default settings available are Shipping, Pickup & delivery. Your detailed feedback is very helpful to us and our Product team. Currently we continue to collect feedback for this feature and will make sure to share any updates.
