My retail business is offering knife sharpening and sales. I work out of my apartment. For personal reasons, I cannot accept phone calls randomly during business hours. When a client sees my website and decides to have knives sharpened by me, I want them to "order" online the sharpening service. At check out I want them to schedule a time to drop off their knife or knives. Once I have sharpened them, I will call the client letting them know they can pick up their items. I don't want to charge them for the service until they pick up their item(s). (I charge extra for knives that are heavily damaged or the tip is snapped off and has to be remade.)
With the current settings, my clients would have to pay now, doesn't offer to schedule a drop-off time. How do I get the client to set up the dropoff time, then after I'm done I can set up a "ticket', then contact the client to pick, them up, and charge them at that time?

I would imagine you can set up bookings/appointments and charge a low flat rate for knife pick ups and then attach an invoice upon delivery for any additional work needed on the knifes.

I'm really new at this. Is there a guide or how-to that would instruct me on how to set up a drop-off time once they've selected my service? What I've found so far on YouTube doesn't show me step by step how to do this.

Check out this page. You can add your services and a rate etc.
- Think knife pickup as a service, you can make it a flat rate and your customers would book pickup times on your calendar online. You can also set available times etc.
Then you can provide them an invoice for additional repairs.
Hope this helps.

It's not as easy as all that. I've been working on this aspect of my site for 3 weeks now. Still can't get it to work the way I want it to.
