How do I use a split tender when using giftcards, on my online store at go daddy?

I have customers complaining that they can't use split payment at my go daddy store for check out. With shipping it is hard for my customers to use "exact amount" of gift card. I did a test purchase with a $10 gift card & it wouldn't allow me to pay for $11.00 order with my gift card and then using a credit card for the balance. but the stipulations say the entire purchase must be for the gift card amount. I want to know how to change this, if not then I wont be offering gift cards.

@moodswings - I'm afraid this behaves as expected - split payments using gift cards can not be done online, only in person using the POS system. Your customer will need to use a debit/credit card for payment. 

I understand it's not ideal and doesn't provide flexible payment options. I'll be sure to pass your feedback to the appropriate team so that improvements with the checkout experience comes in the near future.
