Does Square for Retail have a training mode that allows for test transactions?

I have a fairly large group of employees to train. Is there a Square Training mode? If not, is there a way to ring sales normally (but without customers) and then delete the transaction log?

A training mode isn’t something that’s currently available on our systems. However, we encourage you to contribute your vote and share how it could benefit your business on this existing Feature Request. By sharing your detailed use case on an existing feature request board, you empower other Sellers to support it with their votes and comments, highlighting the demand for this type of functionality to our Product team. Our Product team keeps an eye on Feature Request Boards and are constantly improving our products based on feedback like this!

In the meantime, you are able to use the following functions and payment methods while training your team. However, please note that these test payments will still appear in your reports, and cannot be removed.

Functions:

• Comp
• Void
• Refund
• Creating and applying a 100% discount

Payment Methods

• Cash
• Other Tender

FWIW, I've been asking for similar functionality since 2018. I'm still looking for them to allow for a sandbox / testing environment. Six years and they still don't' understand the importance of NOT testing things in a production environment. 

The only way to accomplish this is to set up a separate account, load your catalog, rebuild ALL your discounts and other settings, test it, then replicate your work in your production system.

Square is designed for small operations with less items in the database.

Definetly a much need feature and has been something we have been hoping for for years and years.  It is super hard to not be able to train someone fully unless you are in a live sale situation.
