Default is free shipping; What about local customer or craft fairs
New here; no online store experience and I'm building my site. To keep things simple I am offering free shipping in my online store and adjusting prices accordingly. There are two instances when I'd like to have the customer come to me to pick up, and give them a price cut:
1 When I'm doing a craft fair and someone is in my booth ready to buy. I'm thinking that having a coupon code to enter might work in that situation. Is there another way? I will disable online orders during craft fairs. Is there a way to, with one stroke, lower all online store prices to reflect the fact that craft fair sales will not involve shipping?
2 This one is more complicated: someone local sees an item online and wants to buy it but wants to make arrangements to come to me on a mutually agreeable time. That's a different thing than someone wanting to pick up a pizza in 30 minutes. Also, my items are one-offs. If a local customer wants to pick up directly from me, by the time I'm able to give them a coupon code someone else might have bought the item. Suggestions?

Hey @TextileCrafter!
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community and congrats on building your site! 🖥
1) Hmmm. In this situation, are they ordering the items online (and paying) online, and then picking them up at the craft fair? If so, you could just adjust the fulfillment type for the items you're selling at the craft fair for that day and either adjust the prices yourself, or provide them with an online Coupon to be applied at checkout. This may be a bit tricky as we do not have 'fulfillment based' coupons:
Otherwise, if you are just selling the items from a booth at the craft fair, then you can just have the customer avoid using your site completely, and just ring them up in person at a discounted price using Square Discounts without having to adjust the prices on your site or in your inventory whatsoever. Would that work? Let me know.
2) If they see an item online, they should be able to purchase and pay for the item, and you will have a prep time setting that will give the customer a time frame:
You could include a note on your site or in the item description that says "please contact us to arrange a mutual pickup time". Is that what you're looking for?
Let me know if I've misunderstood your question or what you're looking for. I want to make sure we get this figured out! ✨

Thank you. I am mulling this all over and need to decide by this Saturday which way to go. Here's an issue: I found that if I checked local pickup my address automatically appears next to it. Since my studio is in my home I'm a bit uncomfortably for having that where anyone can see it. I would have no problem sharing that information in a private message with a customer who has indicated he/she wants to purchase something and pick it up locally. Is there a work-around?
