We run a jewelry business, and we print a single "barbell" tag for each piece of jewelry. We specialize in unique pearl jewelry, so we do not have the typical lots of product for one SKU; we have one SKU, one item for sale.
The last time I checked into the upgraded service Square for Retail provides, the "Bar code label printing" feature only prints on an 8.5 x 11 inch letter size sheet of standard Avery labels.
We need to be able to print a single label from a roll of labels (e.g. on a Dymo LabelWriter), preferably from that item screen.
Does Square For Retail support this yet?

Actually, I was able to answer my own question. It looks like they have upgraded the barcode labels feature!

We use Zebra ZD410 to print labels. 1x1.5 inch each but you can program it for different size labels. Square supports it.

you can print a single label but you cannot print barbell labels. Unfortunately the two printers that can print smaller size label are both no longer manufactured.. so if you purchase they are pretty expensive. I have heard the Square is going to try and put out. a new printer solution and enable us to be able to create barbell tags- been waiting patiently.

Easy Label App at Square supports the size 0.5" x 2.5" (13mm x 64mm) on desktop printer and 0.5" x 2.2"( 13mm x 56mm) on Zebra printer for barbell label.
Hope it helps.
