Bounced Checks - hold returns on specific receipt

Our small town was recently hit with a manic shopper.  Several stores were hit with Bounced NSF Checks. 
Is there a way to put a hold on the receipt so a return can not be made on the receipt? We obviously don’t want to not only have the checks bounce, but then to give her money back because someone comes in and tries to return the items with a receipt. 

We’ve written down our effected receipts but Flagging a receipt would be extremely helpful.

I'm 99% sure there's not a way to do this but this would be a great feature. 

My only advice is to make sure you have a big note posted at your checkout for your employees and make sure there's also a note somewhere everyone will see it (like a bathroom).
