500 Error on Subscription Link

I created a checkout link, made it a subscription, worked great for a few days now this morning it's showing 500 Error on the page and my sales keep jumping up and up like someone hacked into it and trying to place bogus orders. Anyone else having that issue?

Also I made this as a monthly subscription and nothing shows in my subscription feed.

Finally, how do I get a the shipping fields to show for customer to put in a shipping address as this might be a subscription box for family members, not themselves? Thanks!

Hey @julsbly!

Welcome to the Seller Community 🌠

I was working with a seller yesterday who had the same issue. It ended up fixing itself after about 30 minutes (I wish I knew what fixed it, but I'm curious if the same will happen to you).

What browser are you using? Is the checkout link not showing up in the subscription feed also the one with the 500 error?

The subscription checkout links are used to charge multiple customers on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis with a single checkout link. Because their main functionality is just to receive payments, there's no shipment address section for customers to enter information into. Sorry about that. Unfortunately it would not fix itself, running through Chrome. I did notice that the sales amount however was acting like someone was purchasing every 5 minutes but there was no sales coming through. I ended up thinking it was a bot or glitch so I deactivated it and restarted a new link. Problem solved.

But thats a big issue. The checkout link is for a subscription that will be mailed. How are you suppose to get the subscription mailing info with that logic? That to me makes 0 sense.  So the only way I have around this is to tell everyone to put the shipping address in the text box. Other than that I would need to end what I'm doing on Square and open something else on an actual box subscription site and I don't want multiple websites.

Hey @julsbly-

Really sorry about that - but glad you were able to resolve it by creating a new link.

I realize that this is disappointing. Do you just need them to be able to enter their address that first time that they begin the subscription? I'm looking into recurring invoices for this, and to see if subscriptions/memberships with Square Online (not checkout link) are any different.

You got it! Just need them to enter it that one time so that when it generates the subscription charge monthly, it will pull over the customer information for easy shipping.
