setting up variables to show in the POS

I have set up variables for all of my burgers that have different prices. however, only about half of them are showing in the POS. Example some, when the servers click it, automatically go to the variable page. Which is what i want. but the other half does not. I feel like i set them all up the same way.

To make sure i'm understanding, do you take orders only in-person, or online as well? Also, are you using a specialty service like Square for Restaurants, or the standard Point of Sale?

Currently, just in person sales. Yes, square for restaurants. And to give an example I entered a burger. There's 16 variations of this burger with different prices. When the server selects that burger in the POS the first screen that automatically pops up is the variation screen with the 16 option. Same concept, we have mixed drinks with several variations depending on the type of liquor. However, when the servers select one of the mixed beverages the variation screen does not automatically pop up and to get to it they have to select edit item and then the variation screen will pop up.

Understood, thank you! I would check on the item level and confirm that "automatically add item to check" is enabled. You can find it by clicking on the item in question and scrolling to the bottom of the item detail page.
