I'm creating my menu and need to know where and how to put an option for my order taker to identify what ingredients need to be held off the sandwich?

Hi @lmstock37. So you have a couple of choices here.
- When you are creating your modifier sets, you can enable the option “Use conversational modifiers on POS.” This will give your servers the ability to press the “no” button for each modifier in the list (as well as other buttons like “Add” and “Extra,” etc.
- Your other option is done at the item level. For each modifier set that is attached to an item, you can pre-select the normal ingredients that are on each sandwich. Then, if a customer doesn’t want an ingredient, your servers will just de-select that ingredient. When the kitchen check prints, it will add the word “NO “ in front of the ingredient on the check.
- You can also just have your servers simply type in special instructions that will be printed on the kitchen check.
Note that I am assuming that you have a modifier set listing your sandwich ingredients. If you aren’t using modifier sets, then we probably need to first have a discussion about whey these are a good idea to use.
