Will Square for Restaurants Ever be available for Android

I started a trial of Square for restaurants before realizing it was only iPad based. We currently have android tablets for all our servers. I would love to be able to use Square for Restaurants, but not ready to buy a bunch of new hardware right now. Are there plans to ever make this available on Android?

I don't know that they would due to the severe OS fragmentation issue with Android, but I don't think they can comment on it either if they were. I understand it would be great but getting Square POS on Android phones is already a trial that only works on a limited number of devices.
