What to do with a tip not getting settled even though it was settled?

Our front desk person settled a credit card transaction and added the $10 tip. Right after she settled the transaction she saw 'transaction' on the left side of the screen.  As she was watching she saw it roll back from the total with tip to the total without the tip.  She called me over and when we opened the ticket it showed the tip in the opened window, but not on the transaction.  I figured square had a hiccup and it would settle out later in the day or over night.  It never did pick up the tip and we can't add anything because it was already 'settled'.  Any thoughts?  Thanks

Just a long shot guess here but, if your issue happened yesterday (Thu, Jul 11, 2024, 05:20 PM) as indicated here - it's possible the disruption may have caused your glitch - as for taking any action on your end with the transaction, it's not possible to change anything after the fact.  If you can show proof (screen shots, receipt, whatever) that your issue happened during the short Payment Disruption yesterday, perhaps Customer Support would be able to assist as it's not possible to do anything through the Community.  It may end up as a write off on your end but, who knows.
