The checkout process & selecting pickup time
I've posted this several times before and it's caused me to lose a few customers.. yet we still haven't heard anything back regarding this issue. When an item is added to the cart the customer will see an immediate pickup time. For bakeries like mine this can be very annoying because customers should schedule their pickup and not choose an ASAP option. To cut down on the loss of customers I wish that the cart wouldn't show a pickup time or maybe say "Schedule it or pickup As soon as possible" instead of the instant text that shows "Pickup 9am XXXXXX date".
It's a little change that could mean all the difference for my business. I've been complaining about it since you guys forced us onto this new webstore and frankly i'm on my last thread. I'd rather not have to move my store to a new platform.

Thanks for the feedback. It looks like this information has already been submitted as a feature request, although we don't have a timeframe for when or if this option will change. Have you already set a prep time for your items under Settings>Pickup>Edit Location? You can also enable the option to send an email that the item has been marked as ready.
Are you losing customers because people do not want to pick up the item at the available time? Or are you running into an issue where too many people are showing up at once?

I do have scheduled pickup allowed, as well as the email to mark when an order is ready.
Customers when they add an item to the cart will automatically see a pickup time that is not a time that they want. I've experienced several drop offs at the checkout section because people don't know that after they input their name and phone number that you can schedule your pickup for a different day. While I do hate the "asap" option, there is not a way to remove it which I have made abundantly clear my disapproval of. The checkout order is all wrong, why would you show a pickup time when the guest has not had time to select it? Also, why is the pickup option or schedule option not the first in the order?
Currently the store setup is:
#1 contact info
#2 pickup time /schedule pickup
#3 payment info
#4 order verification
#5 submit
