Square for Restaurants - can't sign in

I am trying to setup Square for Restaurants on an iPad. After I enter the Device Code into the app, we are stuck at the screen to enter our personal PIN to Unlock or Sign-In

 

When typing our PIN in, the on screen keypad numbers register a tap by dimming out as you touch the number; HOWEVER, the four empty circles above the keypad that should register input by becoming filled in circles never change. They remain empty circles.

 

We already have been running on a three Square Registers with using Square for Restaurants for over a year, and at various times in the past have setup iPads for Training 

 

iPad 8th Generation

iOS 15.5

 

I have tried reinstalling Square for Restaurants, rebooting the iPad, carefully checking all settings and permissions both in iOS and in Square's web Dashboard. 

 

I have 30 years in programming and sysadmin, this very much feels like a bug in Square for Restaurants. Even if there is a user error on my end, the App should give some feedback about what the issue is.

I agree with you on this one @leejoramo. It looks like you have done a fair amount of troubleshooting to try to fix this. My advice here would be to reach out to our Restaurants team for them to look further into this to confirm what would be the next steps to get you up and running.
