Square KDS doesn't rotate on Android tablet?

I'm trying to rotate from one horizontal/landscape orientation to the other landscape orientation, so the charger port can face the other direction. It seems like a small thing but some of our KDS displays are public facing and we want charging cords as hidden as possible. After thirty minutes on hold with support I was informed that the KDS app on Android doesn't do this and I can request a feature addition.

I feel like I'm losing my mind a bit. We were forced to buy Android tablets because the KDS features are supposed to be better than on an iPad, but it can't do the most basic thing like rotate to both landscape orientations? This is standard in any app that offers landscape. I am baffled. Can anyone help?

I don't use Square for restaurants so I can't help but let me tag someone who should know the answer.  @isabelle do you know or can you tag a SS that uses KDS?

All the videos I watched were horizontal.

@TheRealChipA @saydad @makedonas - I believe you mentioned that you've used KDS and maybe can weigh in here.

You were informed correctly @CircleCoffeeCo. Honestly I’d love a portrait orientation that only shows one check at a time, as this is how I plan to use it in the future. But I already know I need to submit a feature request. Maybe we should collaborate on it?

Your only alternative currently is to try FredhKDS. Or live with this. I wish I could give better news.

I’ve actually had already started a thread about this a while back.
Android KDS doesnt auto rotate like Apple ipads did before (built in to ios).

It seems Android requires this to be done on the developer side. So it needs to be a feature request, which I thought I already requested.
Furthermore, the portrait view would also need to be a feature request too, as it’s not currently available.
