Square Disruption: Offline Mode Transactions? Tips? 24hrs?

Square is down, I can't see our offline mode transactions nor adjust the tips from last night. After 24 hrs, if we can't regain connectivity square states we lose those transactions. What are our options? We kept the receipts, but didn't take a screen shot of last nights offline mode transactions.

Surprised no one is talking about this....

 

I used offline mode, I can see the transactions "processing" with the note to connect to internet. I am connected to internet - even did a test purchase which went through and was able to refund it.

 

However, my offline transactions are still stuck in "processing" and blaming internet connectivity - which I have deduce not to be the issue. 

 

anyone that can give insight??

same issue. asked square this morning via chat and they answered “at their discretion” and then recalled their answer before i could screenshot. 

 

seems like an absolute disaster in customer service over there. no surprise given my experiences with them in the past.

Update: I am able to see my offline transactions from last night. I have seen posts from square suggesting to call Square about adjusting tips in offline mode. Right now during the disruption, customer service isn't able to answer or call volume is high as a result not an option. 

 

I saw another post where it suggests going to a "square terminal" if you have one to adjust tips. This didn't work for me as the offline transactions didn't populate. 

 

Update 2: On with customer service, we are going through the receipts manually. Some were captured and some werent. The offline receipts they can't see on their end yet.

Update: The 24 hour rule sounds like it will be waived. I recommend taking a picture of all the receipts that were completed in offline mode for tip purposes. They are saying those offline modes will automatically process once they have it up and running on their end.

not sure if it’s 24 hours or 72 hours but they should issue a statement. it’s a bad look not to. 

 

because remember that we are in line with thousands of others across the US all trying to process offline payments. 

 

i have two that are still in limbo after HOURS being online and connected. the ipad is on and the screensaver is off. it is plugged with the screen on and connected so it ain’t on my end.

I only processed two. and bot are still in limbo. I deal with bigger ticket items, so the two is enough to make me feel like there should be more information from square on this.....

having the same issue here, card sales from offline payments yesterday are not processing.
