Servers taking payments vs paying at the register

So when a server takes a cash payment it will show in their reports that they owe the cash, but when they pay at the register, it still show they owe the cash. What am I doing wrong?

To be sure I'm on the same page, are your servers working with Open Tickets? If so, it sounds like everything will fall into place when they close them out. For more information on closing out a sale, have a look here: Use Open Tickets with Square.
