Open tabs/tickets not removing items from inventory

I am currently noticing that if we have an open tab/ticket that has been sent to the kitchen but has not yet been paid for, like a bar tab, the system does not seem to remove items from our inventory. This is causing a pretty big issue when I have 18 team members that all keep an open tab for food and drinks until its payday. It makes us look like we have way more items in stock than we really do. 

Is there an option to have those items in open tickets/tabs removed from stock?
