Is there a way I can get open ticket orders and its detail from Square POS using API or anything?

I have a software that reads the order from any POS system and helps kitchen team process items mainly drinks items. Mainly we read orders from the printer when POS send prints for kitchen order. Right know Square sends image for printing orders which we are not able to read. 

I am able to get orders from Square API but they are only the ones whose payment is done.

Is there a way we can get the open orders from the Square POS when an order is made by customer?

We checked in with our API Team, and unfortunately, open tickets created on our Square app aren't currently exposed via our APIs.
