[Feature Request/Bug fix] Curbside Pickup require "About you" text box

Hello all,

 

Unless I am missing a setting that I can't find, I believe there is a small "bug" (though not technically a bug since its working as it should) with the curbside pick up user flow. Currently when a customer selects "Curbside Pickup" a text box is displayed for the customer to input information about how we can identify them when they arrive. The issue is that the customer can continue through checkout with out filling in the text box. We have had a rise in customers doing this, and creating difficulties for our staff in figuring our where each order goes. 

 

I think the simplest solution would be to require the text box to be filled if the "curbside" option is selected. Even better would be a setting to toggle the text box on or off.

Hi @ SweetB Thanks for reaching out. I see what you mean how the description box appears to be optional. I believe this has already been submitted as a feature request, although I don't have any details on an expected eta to provide. 

 

In the meantime you could add some additional instructions under Pickup Instructions to reiterate that the information is helpful for your staff. 

 

Click on Pickup&Delivery > Edit Location > Pickup Settings > Pickup Instructions
