So I want to introduce meal deals into my menu and POS. Im trying to find the best way to program it properly. I sell hot dogs and ice cream. My one meal deal will consist of 4 dogs with 3 toppings, 2 sides, 4 drinks and 1 quart of ice cream. The ice cream part is easy but the rest I cant wrap my head around the best way to set it up to make sure everything is put into the POS and displays properly on the kds and ticket.

Hi @icecreamstation,
Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the community!
Many Sellers achieve what you’ve described by creating an item called ‘Meal Deal’ for example, then adding Modifier sets to the item.
I’ve created an item and various modifier sets based on your requirements below. In my example the meal deal includes:
2 hot dogs (with 3 toppings)
2 sides
2 drinks
1 ice cream
For each hot dog, I’ve created a separate modifier set called Hot Dog 1 Toppings and Hot Dog 2 Toppings. I’ve then listed out the available toppings as the modifier options without adding a price. It was necessary to do the same for the drinks, as the presumption is that the same flavours would be offered. For the sides, we will simply limit the maximum amount that can be selected to 2.
After adding the Modifier sets to the Meal Deal item you created, you would want to then customize how many modifier options can be selected for each by selecting customize from the options button.
As you’ll see, for the hot dogs, I’ve selected minimum 0, and maximum 3. For the sides it was minimum 2 and maximum 2. For drink 1, drink 2 and the ice cream, I selected minimum of 1 and maximum 1.
I hope this helps, but if you have any questions, just let me know!

You're very welcome @icecreamstation!
Just as a side note, our team is currently working on releasing 'Combos' as a feature. The update is currently in beta testing, and I'd be happy to check if the team are accepting new testers if you'd like to be considered?
A few things to keep in mind are that the beta is only available to Restaurants Plus and Premium subscribers and there are some limitations. For example, Square Online is not currently supported. And, 3rd party integrations such as UberEats, JustEat, Quickbooks, Xero etc. are also not supported in the beta phase.
If you'd like me to reach out to the beta team on your behalf, just let me know.
