Counting Cups

At my mobile food stand I count cups. I noticed that when we return or refund an item, the inventory does not go back into the stack of cups. 

 

Is there one way of "returning" the item that means the customer actually walked away with it and the cup is actually gone vs my employee make a mistake in enterting the wrong flavor so she "returned what she entered into the computer" and then charged her what the actual charge was for....therefore making the cup count off, as it appears as though we actually gave a customer a cup, when we did not? 

 

Does that make sense?

Hello @MobileIceStand, I think I've got a good grip on this. 

 

So currently the inventory won't automatically adjust if a refund is issued for an item. Although, you can manually adjust your inventory levels on the Square Dashboard. Under the Item Library you can adjust the stock and mark the reason as "Return" that way you have a record of why the inventory was adjusted!
