Cash & credit tips - Pool & split

Hi all! We are currently pooling and splitting cash & credit tips manually. I'm considering moving to Squares pool and split. How do you manage the pool and split for cash jar tips? Also, we want 10% of the tips to be pooled and split to our dishwasher role and the rest to go to a barista role. Does square allow for this split by role?

While you can manually input cash tips, these aren't used with our pool and split feature since you would have already split the cash separately amongst your staff. Cash tips aren't included with pay runs either for this reason, although the tax withheld for your staff does reflect any cash tips you report.

While you can exclude some employees from the split, there isn't a way to dictate that only a certain percentage goes to employees with certain roles. For more info, see our article on pooling and splitting tips.

Square HAS TO implement a feature to change tip %'s on the split.  Every bar/restaurant has splitting that is different percentages.  It's really bad this feature isn't offered and needs to be addressed ASAP.  I'm going to have to change systems if this cant get fixed quick
