Can you pause online ordering or limit the number of orders recieved within a timeframe?

Hi Everyone,

 

We just launched our online store for our small diner. We are running into an issue where during peak business, in-house customers and online orders gets us into the weeds. So to give ourselves some control we want to be able to pause online ordering or limit the number of orders within a timeframe. Is that possible? We have our hours to accept online orders and limit on number of items already set up. Other than unpublishing our site (pretty drastic) not sure what our options are?

This has been a highly requested feature. Ordering time and limiting control for pickup/delivery is not currently available. You could build this system with the API.

 

You don't need to unpublish your site, however. What you can do to turn pickup/delivery off is to navigate to your Weebly/Square Online Store, go to your Settings > Pickup & Delivery, and turn the sliders off for accepting pick up and delivery. Here is more on managing online orders.

 

It's an all or nothing switch currently.
