Bakery - Inventory Management Help

New to square but I like to know if there is a way to indicate the day when an item is low in stock?

For example, a customer sees the item low in stock at 4pm. Is there a way to make it clear that the item is low stock for today and not tomorrow?

It would be nice to hear a different solution. We do not use inventory on the bakery items.  We simply dont have the time to keep it updated. It would be nice if we could have a set inventory available each day.

Hey @MichiganFarmsta!

Like an auto restock feature?

Let me know!

An auto restock feature would be step in the right direction.

However what we really need would be something like there is 40 dozen available each day.  So an item could be ordered a week from now, taking the inventory for that day

Yes, that is exactly what we would need.

Hey @MichiganFarmsta and Lulu3!

Thanks for replying back in this thread.

MichiganFarmsta, I'd love to hear a bit more about what you're looking for. It sounds like customers schedule a pickup and can purchase items that are going to be available in your inventory on the day of their choosing. Is that right?

Exactly.

There is one other annoyance with the order process.  Customers are calling and asking "How do I select when I am going to pick up?"

It would be much more intuitive for the customer to be able to select a pickup day before they are in the checkout process.  We are often getting orders for first thing in the morning even though the customer is planning to pick up in the afternoon because it is not very noticable.
