Apply Ticket Numbers To Specific Items
Hello,
Is there a way to specify which items will trigger the prompt to manually enter a ticket number? I only wish to enter a ticket number on kitchen items, not when selling retail/quick service items. I'm trying to avoid adding the extra key stroke of hitting "skip" for every transaction that's not applicable. Ideally, you would be able to select a category of items which would trigger the prompt for a ticket number.
Thanks,
Jordan

Hey there. There doesn't seem to be any way to do this from my experience. Here are a few suggestions.
1. Have a separate register for retail / Quick service items (For me this would not be ideal)
2. If you are also worried about tickets printing for these items and don't want them to... I would create a separate category for these items and make sure that they ARE NOT selected in the printer profiles and on your KDS printer settings if you are using one.
Unfortunately I believe that the SKIP button is there just for that reason and I do not see that changing anytime soon!

I did create categories for the specific items i want to print in my kitchen or cafe. It annoying that when you toggle on “manually enter ticket number” it forces you to apply it to every transaction. Sounds like there’s no work around besides adding a table number to the notes of the transaction.
