Using Terminal to sign up customers

Help I have reached out to square numerous times and get no response - I want to use my terminal to have customers sign up with email address or phone for text so I can use the square marketplace system to let them know of special events.  I cannot get the terminal to work.  It will flash the screen for about 10 seconds for people to sign up and then disappear.  Not enough time for people to fill in the information.

Hey @MikesUnique I hate to hear you are having issues with your terminal and support. I am happy to help in any way I can. To get a better understanding of what is going on I have some follow-up questions below:

1. You are adding email and number in the customer directory on the terminal? 

2. Does the flashing happen any other time, or just when you use the directory and add contact info? 

3. What app version is the Terminal on? More > Settings > Hardware. Tap General > About Terminal. 

3. Have you tried any general troubleshooting and when you can reset your terminal?

Hi  It only happens when it goes to the add email screen  It only stay on for a few seconds 

I have tried rebooting and I will check on the version.

The biggest problem is NO response from Square

If you have already tried a factory reset on the Terminal (not a power cycle) and that has not resolved this issue, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team. Since you own the Square Terminal, your account has access to 24/7 phone support. If you haven't received a response via email, go ahead and give us a call by logging into your Square account and heading here. They can also create a support ticket for our engineers to investigate this if need be.
