Edit Plan Info

There is no way to edit anything but the Plan name. I'd like the ability to edit pricing to account for changes. This could be raising rates at the end of the year, or lowering rates during the slow season. The ability to update the plan price in one place will be much easier than creating an entirely new plan, manually cancelling all subscriptions tied to the old plan, and then manually creating new subscriptions to replace each of the old ones. Not to mention all the confusion and mess of emails customers will receive when they see their subscription is cancelled.

Yet another issue I found working with @PSGC.  If for any reason plan prices need to change, the only way to do this is to create a new plan and then as subscriptions expire enroll customers in the new plan.  Too time consuming, again.  There should be the ability to edit prices and then be presented with the option to keep existing plan customers on the same price until theirs expires, change the price immediately, or grandfather them into the old price indefinitely.

Hi @TheRealChipA @PSGC I'm sorry that this has been frustrating for you. Good news is that the team already has plan management (eg. plan price changes, upgrades/downgrades) already on the roadmap. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts on how you think this should work! When it's released, we will share the news on Product Updates.

@jean_sq I’m liking what I’m seeing.  I think @jean_sq will too!  Maybe you can involve @PSGC in a beta?

@TheRealChipA @PSGC I will certainly keep you both in mind for any beta that we do for this feature!

Thanks @jean_sq. Does Square provide a roadmap with timelines for these things? I'm wondering if this is a fix I can expect this quarter, or if it's in a bucket with 1,000 other ideas that might get implemented some day.

@PSGC Roadmaps can definitely be fluid but I will share that it is on the roadmap for the 2nd half of this year.

Following, it really makes using the system difficult.

We can't even remove deactivated/not in use plans currently!

No subscriptions but can't remove deactivated plans.

@TxPlexMo it is true that you cannot remove deactivated plans. I would recommend changing the "status" drop down on the plans page to "active" - that will display only active plans. Hope this helps!

@jean_sq  thank you!
