Unable to see SS#s

Can anyone explain why I can't see a social security number when adding an employee to payroll AS I'M TYPING?  All I get from Square are canned responses.  As an employer, I have to collect the data, but can't see what I'm typing to know if it's entered correctly.  I understand security, but I obviously have the number if I'm putting it in.  Masking it AFTER it's saved makes total sense, but not while I'm entering it.  Even the employee can't see THEIR OWN ss# that we have found.  Is there ANYWHERE an employee or myself can view it?  I don't want to find out when W-2s are printed that we have wrong information.

Hey @flourgirl1996 .  I'm Mauricio, part of the product team here at Square.

You can unmask the SSN field when adding a team member's information. There should be an eye icon on the right side of the input field that allows you to toggle between masking and unmasking the SSN as needed while you're entering it. This should help you verify the accuracy of the information during input.

Let me know if you have any trouble finding that!

Ugh...don't I feel stupid!  I would have declared it wasn't there, but it surely is.  Thank you 🙂
