No longer being prompted to Clock-in for Non-Hourly Team Members

Hi Everyone,

It used to be that anyone that was not clocked in would get a prompt to clock in when they entered their passcode on the square stand to ring people up.

Sometime in the last week or so, this stopped and now our team can simply enter their passcode and ring up customers.  However, we want the prompt to be there for those who forget to clock in when they arrive from their shift.  It was a great way to remind them that they are not clocked in.

Is this something that went away on purpose?  I don't recall changing any settings, but may have inadvertently, but I tried to find the setting for this and cannot seem to locate it.

Is there something I need to do to get this back?

Hi there - this is a recent change but the prompt should only be hidden for team members who are not hourly.

Are you experiencing this for hourly team members?

Oooh.  Thank you for that clarification!

Yes all of us who are not hourly are the ones who noticed it. I just checked it with a staff member who is hourly and it is in fact working properly with the prompt pop up.

Ours is not working for hourly and th clock in icon is gone from the register but it’s still in the terminal.

It was all but I finally found the toggle to turn on the clock in and out feature which I assure you we didn’t toggle it off. We restarted and it’s working again.

Where did you find the toggle to turn off on? We’re having the same issue?

It seems that the recent update that happened this past week or two is preventing this from showing up and you may have to go into your settings for the device and turn it back on. 

I also have just had my square updated to the latest version and so I need to get in and see how I can turn it back on.

I will report back here if I'm able to determine how to do it. Meantime, we are asking all of our team members to clock in and out on their square team app on their phone.

I think I found it. I think iOS turned it off when it updated if you go to settings and then team management and toggle on the track team members, it turns back on
