Is anyone else not able to check in and out from the app on your android? And yes my app was updated

Is anyone else not able to check in and out on their phone app on an android?

It will not allow me to for several days now and yes my phone app was updated on 12/10/24

Hi @bobspet ! 

 

Can you explain a bit more what you mean by check in and out? Are you trying to sign in and it won't let you? Or are you trying to choose customers for transactions and it won't let you check them out? 

 

Let me know so I can troubleshoot this better.

I am actually trying to clock in and out on the app on my phone. It sometimes allows me but most of the time will not. I am the "owner" so I have complete access so it should not be denying me for any reason. As I mentioned my phone is updated and this is the only thing that it continually denies me doing. I should call and discuss it I just really am busy during normal hours. I reached out via an email and the response was to call or check permission settings. THANKS for reaching out.

Hi there @bobspet - I took a look at your account and it seems that you have the setting to "Clock in/out from Team App" turned off, which would explain why it is not working.  If you turn that setting on (Shifts > Settings > Clock In/out), are you still seeing this issue?

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the answer but I had turned that off a long time ago when someone was abusing the clock in feature and it never had stopped me from clocking in and out on my phone until recently. Also I can still randomly clock in and out on my phone even though it is turned off so if that is the reason it still does not make sense how I can at times clock in on my phone and other times cannot even though I can always use my phone to look items up or access the customer directory or use it to create invoices or make a sale, etc. I no longer have the employee who was abusing the clock in/out so I will turn on that permission and see if it makes a difference. And let you lnow. THANKS

Thanks for the details.  Please let me know if you are continuing to see any issues and I will have our team investigate further.  Having that setting turned off should block it for anyone on the Team App.
