We recently switched to Square Payroll and Scheduling from When-I-Work. A very useful feature of When-I-Work is the ability to send SMS and email messages to employees. Well, it seems like there is no such ability with Square and so as an alternative I would like to export employee names, email addresses and phone numbers and then import them into MailChimp or something. Seems like a reasonable thing to be able to do but I cannot for the life of me figure out how. Any suggestions?
Hi @muckyduck. You made me look! I was just sure that you were missing something, but of course you aren’t. I have two recommendations for you.
First, submit a feature request here to ask Square to add a rudimentary Communications feature to Teams. Let me know when you do because I will definitely upvote it! The product team will review your request and let you know their decision.
Secondly, Homebase integrates with Square and has a free tier that includes employee communication. For now, this might be good enough to get you through, especially since once you set it up it will just work. Here’s a link to their App Integration with Square. Of course, your employees will have to have the Homebase App on their phones as well.
I hope that helps.
Regards,

The ability to export an employee contact list would be very helpful. We just switched to Square Teams/Payroll and I can't believe this feature is missing. It's so basic.
