Error message when trying to change pay day per new feature

I was thrilled to see that a new feature was added that allows you to select pay day.  Our payday has always been Thursday but with Square I've always had to enter payroll on Tuesday to accomplish that while I only work on Saturdays.  

 

Unfortunately every time I try to select Thursday, I get an error message.  Chat support talked me thru clearing cookies, and trying different browsers and computers.  Same result every time.  The issue was forwarded to payroll department for support a week ago, with a promised response in 3-5 business days.  Not another word since then.

 

The same thing happened last July when I wrote about a tax overpayment.  They never responded then either and the state continues to hold the overpayment.  How does one escalate support problems that go unresponded?
