It would be amazing if there was an employee account that you could charge food to for the employees that would automatically track and transfer to payroll.

@Bhcbistro I understand how that would be nice to be able to offer that as a benefit to your employees. The only real issue I see is that payroll deductions like that usually (depending on state law) require written authorizations and a good paper trail. It also would be wise to not really do it that way to protect yourself as a business owner. If for example an employee worked 15 hours and charged 20$ worth of food and they only earn say 8$ per hour. If you don't clearly track that and document it, you would end up only paying them the equivalent of 6.67 an hour and that would violate a multitude of labor laws.
Sure the employee may someone you trust implicitly, but I wouldn't risk it. The easier way is to just set up a house account or run an open ticket with their name and require them to pay you on pay day. If they don't pay you on pay day, I would question how much you really can trust the employee.
I just wanted to give you some frank advice based on my experience in this business. It may be totally different for you, but if you really want to do this, you could do it as a manual deduction when you run your payroll.
