This doesn't seem to be an active request because I can't comment on the thread at https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Read-only-archive-Square-Payroll/How-do-you-delete-a-team-member-... which is what the subject links me to as an existing request.

 

It's been 6 years of discussion since this wasn't submitted.  I mean, really, why hasn't been done.  There is no legal obligation to keep these employees on the books, and having duplicates, old contractors, dead people and all show up in reports and my "inactive" employee list is ridiculous.  Please fix this.

This is basically what just happened to me. 

I was just trying to give my accountant access and this is not the way to do that.Now this name is stuck on here. Cmon guys? what do I do?

This has been up for 4 years and SquareUp can't figure out how to delete unused employees profiles?  I don't need unused employee profiles for taxes.

 

Lazy.

 

Can someone tell the team to add this feature A.S.A.P?

I agree. Trying to navigate adding staff, adding team members..... I have 3 duplicates. 3 staff, or 3 Team members that are the SAME NAME.  Never used....Never fully "activated." Marking Inactive, but not being able to DELETE is a nuisance.  Come on, Square...help us by enabling us to Clean Up our presence.

This is insane. This thread is going to 5 years and this simple issue is not resolved yet? I have DEAD PEOPLE in my employee list. I want them removed permanently, not just "deactivated". There is NO tax implication for them after several years of being dead and gone. Really Square, figure this out.

This absolutely absurd. Cant we find a way to legally force them to add this feature. Has anyone consulted a lawyer yet ? They've been looking into it for5 years ?????

When I click those three dots there is no option to deactivate. Does anyone else have this issue?
