Square register not responding?

Does anyone have issues with their square register screen not responding to touch? Like I can be in the middle of ringing up a tab and at random it’ll just stop responding and I have to wait like 5-10 second for it to start responding. I’m in the bar business and if y’all are in the same line of work you know seconds matter on a busy night. I’ve contacted square and I’m currently waiting for them to escalate the problem. I’m thinking it’s the internet cause it only happens in the evening and night when I have people here. But when I was talking to square we ran a Speedtest and they said that 40mbps download was fast enough (nobody but me and one other have their phones connected) I don’t give out the password. I have a big event coming up in a couple weeks and I don’t know how long it’ll take square to get back with me, so I’m hoping someone here has had the same issue and knows how to resolve it. (Me and square have went through all the troubleshooting options. And my software and everything is up to date.) Thanks again in advance.

Hey @LoebauStore I can understand how frustrating this can be! We are a coffee shop and in our money rush when before people have had coffee you don't want to be lagging. 

I notice you have the beta symbol on your avatar, If you are a part of any betas that have anything to do wit the register make sure you switch out of the beta version of things. It could be a bug that they are trying to work on.

We were having connectivity issues with our square register and I finally read a thread and someone from square told the person to factory reset their system. We did that and booted it back up and have only had a couple connectivity problems since, where as before we were having them daily.

If you go that route make sure you remember the settings and different things you have set up, for us I forgot to set up drawer reporting and our printer wasn't printing tickets like it was supposed to. Both easy fixes but make sure you have it set back up properly before your big event.
