Order of Modifiers on Square Register

I see that numerous people have asked how to reorder modifiers on Square Register. According to support, editing the order on the Dashboard or the register should accomplish this. However, I have done both and the modifiers are always presented in alphabetical order during checkout.

Has there ever been a fix to this very reasonable request?

Also just a thought have you tried using numbers at the beginning of each modifier to see if that will put them in order?

Thanks. The instructions are exactly what I followed to change them, but of course, they don’t work. It would be nice if Square’s software did what it’s instructions say, but I’ve come to expect that to not be the case. 

I appreciate your response and will probably use your workaround, but I’m still disappointed in Square. More often than not, their end users know their product better than they do.

Yeah, I think we know more about it because we use it in a working environment everyday and we try to tailor it to how we want it. It does get frustrating.
