New Square Register anytime soon??!!

Hello! As we all know, the square register has been out for many years now. Although visibly it still is a nice piece of hardware, I believe it is time for an overhaul and to be updated. For anyone that also uses a square iPad stand, the iPad dances around the Square Register in terms of speed. Sometimes the register is painfully slow when your clicking fast that the lag is almost unbearable. I also think the square register could be larger to match the iPad Pro screen size for those who have a lot of items to display. Although the new square iPad stand came out this year, who else hopes and wishes square would at least announce that there are plans for a new register in the future. We are tempted to by another register but I really don't want to invest 700 dollars in a outdated piece of hardware if there are plans for a new one in the future.
