Book Club Winter Break 2024

Hey Square Readers,

We’re almost done reading Day Trading Attention by Gary Vaynerchuk, so make sure you jump into some of our discussion threads and let us know your thoughts and what you’ve learned.

Since the Festive/Holiday Season is busy for most business owners, we’ll be taking off the months of November & December 2024, and picking back up in January 2025!

We’ll have our next round of book voting in either November or December, so stay tuned and keep your eyes open for that thread!

Even though we won’t be reading together for those two months, you can still read on your own! Check out our Bookshelf with a full list of all of the books sellers like you recommended, and get a head start before we start back up on January 1st!

In the meantime, please don’t forget to fill out our Survey, and RSVP to our Tactic Talk Live Discussion all about Social Media on Tuesday October 29th!

Happy reading,

Pesso

I cannot tell you how happy this makes me!  This is my busy season!  I also wanted to suggest an author to you.

I was AWOL because I went to the Women's HVAC conference in Dallas last week and had to step away the week before in preparation for leaving.  During the conference, I found out that one of our past presidents for the organization is an author and has written business books related to my fields.  Her name is Ruth King.  I thought you might like to check out her titles!

So glad that the break works for ya, @CareyJo ! Last year we just did December since we started in April, and November was definitely a slow month, so we pulled back to take both off this year.

Ooh, that's so cool that you got to go to the conference and meet some great folks! Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely look into her -- any of her books in particular that you've heard good things about?

Thanks again!

I'm grateful for a book club break. This time of year is huge for me. I'm executing the final biggest events at our coffee shop and planning/scheduling out next year. In a couple weeks we'll be making an offer on a building for sale, so if the stars align we'll move our business next year and own our space. Exciting stuff.

On top of all the personal stuff of holidays and birthdays. My boys are 4yr & 2yr(3 in Dec) these are prime memory years. I have to make the effort to make the most magical experiences for them.

But I can't wait to know what the next book is. This year was great growth for our business. And Square was part of that. I want to see what our 2nd year brings. I'm super excited to hit next year running!

That's all so exciting, @BrianaJo ! I hope all of the events go well, and best of luck on the new building! Rooting for a smooth process all around.

I love that you're going to take some time and prioritize family! That's so important as a business owner to take time for you and loved ones, and I'm glad you can do it.

I'm excited for the next books too! As always, so glad to hear that Square has helped with the growth, and I can't wait to hear about all of the exciting things you achieve in year 2!
