When importing my library, is there a way to avoid updating some fields?

Hi all -

I want to update our prices in the library export spreadsheet and then reimport those items.  However, it will take me some time to work on the spreadsheet and I'm concerned that if I upload the export that I made days ago it will mess up stock counts, etc...

How does square handle blank fields in the import?  Does it just skip them or does it 0 them out?  Is there a way to import and update some fields but not others?

I realize I could just re-export right before updating and then cut and paste, but it seems messy and potentially error-prone.

Thanks,

Josh

Thanks for posting, @1369Central 👋

According to this support guide for Importing Items Online, changes to the current quantity field are ignored. The field for new quantity will replace any existing stock count. You can also write in “No” to disable stock tracking for this item variation.

I hope this helps you out! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
