Sync items from website to ALL locations in Square

We want to use multiple locations in the Square POS app on our ipad. All our items are first entered on our Woocommerce website, and sync to Square. Unfortunately when they sync, they only sync to our home base location and don't automatically sync to "All Locations".   How can I get them to automatically sync to all locations? Going through every items to bulk update is not an option at this point because it's thousands of items and there are so many randomly not synced across all locations. And Square will only allow a bulk edit of 250 variations (one of our items might have 150 variations alone).

Any ideas?

Hey @NaroEscape. Since your Woocommerce item list is the master list, this is unfortunately a question that only Woocommerce can answer.  They control the sync between themselves and Square, though they DO use Square’s API’s to accomplish the sync.  Most likely, Woocommerce requires that you have multi-location support enabled there, and it probably has settings to control whether each location has it’s own item list or if they share one item list, etc.  In any case, as Woocommerce controls the connection with Square, you’ll need to reach out to their support team for instructions about how you proceed.

Thanks, but the issue is in Square. Even if Woocommerce just sync'd to one location in Square, there is no way to easily make those items available automatically - or even easily - to all locations. Square should have a feature that allows you to pick every item and make them available at all locations in bulk. Even if I had to take that one additional step (when we put something in Woocommerce on our website I then have to go to Square to "sync all items across all locations) that would be a pain, but doable. There's no way to do that. So...we end up not using multiple locations and have all sales list from one location. Not ideal at all.

Understood @NaroEscape.  A quick search of Woo’s support data base reveals that you are not alone in this issue.  However, in case you are not aware, even if you were able to quickly mark all of your items as being available in all locations, it seems that every time Woocommerce does a refresh/resync, that any location changes are immediately overridden back to the main location, again.

So, I stand by my assertion that Woocommerce is still the big culprit here as far as syncing to multiple locations goes.  Square could make it easy to bulk edit all of your items, but even if they did, you’d have to monitor it constantly, or at least turn off syncing which wouldn’t be ideal either.
