I'm baffled. I've had two sales that I know of (but multiple missing items from my inventory) not show up in daily transactions. What is happening? I ring them up, they tap to pay, it says "Sale Completed" on my end, the customer walks out with the product, and then there's no record of it ever happening. I'm thinking this is where all my lost inventory is going but why??? When happened to notice two months ago, I thought it might be because it asked for a signature and the customer and I missed it but yesterday it gave me a completed message. Anybody give some insight and a solution?

I can not give you an answer because I do not know exactly what you are doing.
It sounds as if the transaction has been completed then disappears,
My suggestion is after each payment print out a 2nd receipt for your records.
- The printed receipt would show Type of card and last 4 of the card used
- How the payment was made Countactless for example
- Receipt code to call support on why this disappeard from transactions
- Authorization Code
- All this would be needed to trace the transaction
- Along with the above would also be the amount that was charged or paid.
- Also turn on Automatic receipts, this way if customer does not want it you can throw it in a bucket to look up if a transaction is lost.
This way you would have a Transaction ID to be able to give Square if the transaction vanishes from your records. The other thing could be that missing inventory could be just retail theft. This still does not explain missing transactions.

I'm just having this happen to me today. I do not have a printer so the sales receipt option would not work for me.. Everything was working perfectly until 1pm then even though I'm ringing up sales and getting the notification the sale is complete, the transaction is not showing and the inventory count is not being adjusted.

I am having the same issue that started about an hour ago. We’ve had record sales within that time & nothing is showing up, I’m getting stressed that none are showing up. The checkout process was normal & said transactions were completed, but it’s not showing anything, even in the sales report

We went back and looked up the customer we sold to and the sale is showing up in their records but missing from the day's transaction list. I've seen this happen before and the sales eventually showed up the following day.

yes I am having this same issue. Today is a huge event sale for me and I processed thousands that are now not showing up and call my clients cards say "pending" on their end.

Same! Missing an 2 hours worth of sales between 1 and 3pm. And it’s been tempermental and very slow since. Very worried that we just lost 2 hours of sales forever

yes! this is me as well! same situation. Its extremely worrisome. I can not get ahold of anyone at square. I checked with some clients, on their end the sales show as "pending"

Same with me!!!!! But the Issquareup is showing everything working fine. How can we report? Sorry for everyone, but glad not just me. Same timeframe 1pm EST stopped recording transactions. I do have receipts for all of them though....
