POS Devices Issues: Not showing up the Customers name

Hi, we have observed past couple of days that the POS devices are not showing up the Customers name. It just shows UNKNOWN. Attached is the screenshot. Any help is highly appreciated:pos.jpg

We are happy to look into this for you. How long has this been going on for? Are you able to tell us more details about the device version you are using?

I am not sure what device(s) you are using or what your transactions were from.  I do know on my POS Square for Retail on a Square Stand the Names of customers are either set by choosing Add customer to the Cart, or they are imported when available from the buyers Credit Card company.  Sometimes in the past I just got Discover Card User as the customers name.  Now as with you I am seeing more customers with Unknown Name which might be because of security and people and Credit Card issuers being more protective about their information being stolen.  

Now if these are Web related sales the name should be available as the person buying the Item(s) would have to enter this information.

 

If this does not help you you may want to clarify how you were getting the card users name in the past besides it just automatically showing up.
